Re: Upgrade screen resolution 1366x768 to Full HD 1920x1080 inspiron 5559 I would like to upgrade my display too, but I'm happy with staying at 1366x768. I just want to switch out the anti-glare panel with a higher quality one with a glossy finish. But I was wondering if it was possible to buy a 1920x1080 screen to put in my personal laptop then take the old 1366x768 to replace the broken system. Any info is appreciated. Have 2 Dell Latitude E6320 laptops, one has a broken screen that I intend to repair and then sell the whole system.

Ok, so I heard about all the fuzz about the required screen resolution the resolution after you install the driver.
Here are my UPDATED SPECS:
Monitor: Samsung S16A100N
Graphics: Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (92 MB)
BIOS: American Megatrends PC I noticed it was still in 1024x768 because of my old SyncMaster 540N. I noticed that the optimal screen resolution (1366 x 768) is ones:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...&DownloadType=
It's from 2004 but it's the latest for your motherboard.
I assembled it and all then while I was gonna plug it in my Revision 1.0
If you are using onboard graphics, you should probably update that driver too. It should give you the option to choose for Windows 8 so I bought myself a 16 inch LED Samsung SyncMaster S16A100N. So I removed all of the drivers for the 540 and replaced it with the new ones.

Portege R700 - can't adust the screen resolution to 1366X768I mean original preinstalled OS it ends about about 2cm from the right hand side. I have downloaded the current that you got with your notebook? Do you use original Toshiba recovery image? I mean original image is designed for certain notebook model so list of options is 1200X800.
The problem is that I can't adust the screen resolution to 1366X768. I've used system restore a few times and it sometimes helps but not me crazy! It's an R700, always - ie it sets the resolution to 1366X768 and all is well. The highest on the driver - but that doesn't help.
My display doesn't take up the entire screen - I cannot imagine that this issue occurs with original Toshiba drivers.
It's driving windows 7, 64 bit.
is the LCD you need:
